Job Description

Role: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Rocky Mount, NC
Duration: 12 Months+ (07/30/2026 – 07/29/2027)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
Interview Process: Phone and In-Person
Note: Only candidates currently located in or near Rocky Mount, NC will be considered due to the onsite requirement.


About the Role

This position operates within a product-driven delivery model and plays a key role in defining, refining, and supporting product value delivery. The Business Analyst will serve as a clarity creator and alignment driver, helping teams translate business needs into actionable, testable requirements and ensuring successful delivery outcomes.

The ideal candidate is highly proactive, thrives in ambiguous environments, and can transform complex business challenges into structured solutions while collaborating closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery sessions with business units and subject matter experts to understand goals, user needs, and operational challenges.
  • Translate business concepts into user stories, workflows, business rules, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned with business value and product outcomes.
  • Identify and resolve requirement gaps before development and testing phases.
  • Create and maintain documentation including process flows, requirements, user-facing artifacts, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with Development, QA, Data, Training, Implementation, and Change Management teams.
  • Perform end-to-end analysis across workflows, systems, business rules, and data.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and break down complex problems into actionable solutions.
  • Support testing activities, UAT readiness, and requirements traceability.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to refine features, define business value, and support backlog prioritization.
  • Coordinate with vendors and delivery teams to ensure alignment on requirements and solution intent.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Analysis, or a similar role.
  • 5+ years of experience with:
    • Requirements definition
    • User story creation
    • Workflow analysis
    • Acceptance criteria development
    • End-to-end business and systems analysis
    • Problem-solving and root cause analysis
  • 3+ years of experience with:
    • Product Owner collaboration and feature refinement
    • Cross-functional team coordination (Development, Testing, Data, Implementation, etc.)
    • Testing support, UAT, and requirements traceability
    • Process mapping and workflow design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, Scrum, Product Ownership, or related disciplines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively drive issues to resolution.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
