PC Test Technician I Location: Coral Gables, FL Job ID: 226479

Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented PC Test Technician I to join our team supporting the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic aircraft components used in communication, navigation, and flight control systems. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electronics, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with avionics testing equipment and software. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all products meet stringent quality and regulatory standards before release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct operational, visual, and functional testing of electronic aircraft components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform:
  • Visual inspections
  • Continuity testing
  • Functional testing
  • Software flashing and configuration
  • Utilize specialized test equipment to monitor and simulate data transmission, including:
  • ARINC 429
  • CSDB signals
  • CAN simulator systems
  • Document testing activities and results through Acceptance Test Reports (ATRs).
  • Ensure units under test (UUTs) are fully documented and prepared for quality inspection.
  • Diagnose malfunctions, identify component failures, and perform basic repairs based on test analysis.
  • Support internal, customer, and FAA audits as required.
  • Operate dedicated testing software and maintain accurate test records.
  • Collaborate with engineers, quality personnel, and production teams to resolve technical issues.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Electronics or equivalent military or technical trade school experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of electronics experience.
  • Avionics experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electronic theory and component-level troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret:
  • Electrical schematics
  • Engineering drawings
  • Technical manuals
  • Experience using electronic test equipment, including:
  • Digital multimeters
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Specialized avionics test equipment
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to operate testing software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to support multiple priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous avionics testing or repair experience.
  • FAA-regulated manufacturing or repair station experience.
  • Familiarity with aircraft communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform light work activities.
  • May occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
  • May frequently handle items requiring up to 10 pounds of force.
  • Work is primarily performed in a seated position, with occasional standing and walking.
  • Manual dexterity required for assembly, testing, and fabrication activities involving repetitive hand and finger movements.
