Confluent Kafka Presales Engineer - £900/day via Umbrella - 4 Month Contract - London (hybrid) - SCC Flex Contract

We are seeking an experienced Confluent Kafka Presales Engineer to support enterprise data and cloud transformation opportunities. The suitable Confluent Kafka Presales Engineer will combine deep technical expertise with customer-facing consulting and solution design responsibilities.

Your responsibilities as the Confluent Kafka Presales Engineer:

• Conduct customer discovery sessions and technical workshops.
• Design and present Confluent and Kafka-based solutions aligned to business requirements.
• Lead technical demonstrations, proof-of-concept engagements and architecture discussions.
• Produce solution designs, proposals, ROM estimates and supporting bid documentation.
• Act as the SME for Confluent Cloud, Confluent Platform and Apache Kafka technologies.
• Advise customers on event-driven architectures, Real Time data streaming, cloud migration and modern data platforms.
• Collaborate with sales, cloud, data and AI specialists throughout the sales cycle.

As a successful Confluent Kafka Presales Engineer, you will have:

• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-streaming technologies.
• Expertise with Confluent Cloud and/or Confluent Platform.
• Previous experience as a Presales Consultant, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant or Solutions Engineer.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud and data solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), microservices, data integration and distributed systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and workshop facilitation skills.
• The ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Confluent, AWS, Azure or GCP certifications.
• Knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, Kubernetes, MongoDB or OpenShift.
• Experience supporting Data & AI programmes.
