Job Title: Fire & Security, Service & Maintenance Engineer
Location: Teeside
Salary: £38,000 - £45,600 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

We are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Service & Maintenance Engineer to join a busy and expanding team, working across a varied portfolio of commercial and industrial client sites.
This is a hands on role offering variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work across multiple fire and security technologies. You will take ownership of your work, solve technical challenges and provide a high quality service to customers.
What You'll Be Doing as a Fire & Security Service & Maintenance Engineer
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, testing and repairing a wide range of systems, including:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- CCTV
- Access Control
- Intruder Alarms
- Disabled Refuge Systems
- Public Address Systems
- Induction Loops
- Associated network infrastructure
Your role will include a mix of planned maintenance, fault finding, reactive repairs and emergency call outs, providing plenty of variety and the opportunity to use your technical expertise.
You will diagnose faults, identify root causes, complete repairs and upgrades, and ensure systems remain safe, reliable and fully operational.

The Role
- You will ensure systems are maintained to a high standard while delivering a professional and responsive service to customers.
- You'll work independently on client sites while having the support of the wider engineering team when required.
- The role would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with technology and being out on site, rather than being based in the same location every day.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a technically capable and customer-focused Fire & Security Service & Maintenance Engineer with experience in fire and/or electronic security systems.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience servicing and maintaining fire and security systems
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of relevant British Standards and industry requirements
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A professional, reliable and positive approach
- A willingness to continue learning and developing
Knowledge of BS 5839, BS 7671, BS EN 50174 and NSI requirements would be advantageous.
