Team Lead - C++ Quant Development | London- Global Hedge Fund

Salary: £600-800k target range

Summary:

My client is one of the world's most prestigious hedge funds. They have a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Team Lead to contribute to their continued success.

As the London Team Lead, you will lead and mentor a small team of Quantitative Developers, providing technical guidance and driving the overall direction of the team while remaining highly hands-on. You'll play a key role in the design, architecture and implementation of low-latency C++ systems that are not only robust, resilient and accurate, but also exceptionally fast and efficient.

The successful Team Lead will be an exceptional communicator, with the confidence to work directly with central trading teams to optimise the firm's overall execution performance. You will need to be a strong technologist, but also have an excellent understanding of trading and the commercial impact of technology, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.

Skills and Experience Required:

• 12+ years' experience in hands-on software development, including 7+ years within front-office financial markets
• Proven track record as a senior contributor or technical lead
• Deep-level OO programming skills in C++, including C++17/20 and multithreaded/asynchronous environments
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, as well as low-latency and real-time system design
• Strong understanding of electronic trading and execution systems
• Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with trading teams
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or another quantitative discipline
