Accounting Manager | Antioch, IL, United States | On-site

We're hiring for a prominent distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials, known for its decades of success and continued growth. This employer is seeking a talented Accounting Manager to lead its corporate accounting operations and foster a high-performance team.

The Role

  • Manage daily operations of the Corporate Accounting team, focusing on internal controls and process efficiency.
  • Oversee key accounting areas including fixed assets, leases, cost accounting, freight, and cash.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Coach and develop team members to build a culture of accountability and high performance.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA designation with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • 3+ years of proven leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Oracle G/L or similar systems is a plus.
