Inside Sales Representative

Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing manufacturer’s rep firm that has been a major player in the electrical market for decades.

They represent a strong lineup of leading manufacturers across lighting, electrical, and industrial products and have built a great reputation with distributors and contractors throughout the region. The company has continued to grow and expand, but still has the feel of a close-knit team where people are valued and have an opportunity to build a long-term career.

They’re looking to add an Inside Sales Representative to their Santa Fe Springs team. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where you’ll work closely with customers, manufacturers, and the outside sales team—handling quotes, orders, pricing, availability, delivery updates, and everything in between.

Electrical industry experience is a plus, but not required. They’re really looking for someone who is sharp, organized, customer-focused, and thrives in an environment with a lot of moving pieces.

An Inside Sales Associate I processes orders and quotations via fax, email or telephone
handling the overall coordination and execution of customer service for the manufacturer’s we
represent. Other tasks of the inside sales team include educating clients and up selling products and
services, and handling cancellation or changes while informing the personnel or departments
involved.

● Excellent Customer Service
● Answer incoming calls with proper phone etiquette
● Promptly respond to all emails, voicemails and phone calls
● Promptly and accurately process customers’ orders, quotes or returns
● Provide follow up on quotes and orders throughout sales process
● Obtain and communicate accurate information
● Provide pricing, availability and delivery information
● Set up new customer accounts
● Handle and resolve customer complaints while escalating to appropriate managers when
necessary

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
● Basic understanding of product lines represented
● Knowledge of customer service principles and practices preferably with experience in an
office environment
● Ability to work both independently and in a teamwork environment
● Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel
