Job description

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, degreasing, sanding, masking, and removing rust or other contaminants as required.
  • Mix paints, primers, and coatings in accordance with manufacturer instructions and specified ratios.
  • Operate industrial spray guns and associated painting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Apply paint and protective coatings evenly to achieve the required finish, thickness, and coverage.
  • Follow job specifications, colour requirements, and customer quality standards.
  • Inspect finished products for defects such as runs, sags, uneven coverage, overspray, and surface imperfections.
  • Carry out touch-ups and corrective work where necessary.
  • Monitor paint usage and minimise material waste.
  • Clean and maintain spray guns, hoses, filters, and other equipment after use.
  • Ensure products are dried or cured in accordance with the required procedures.
  • Complete relevant production and quality control records.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Report equipment faults, material shortages, and quality issues to the supervisor.
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to meet delivery schedules.
  • Previous experience in industrial spraying, spray painting, or surface coating is desirable.
  • Knowledge of industrial paints, primers, coatings, and surface preparation techniques.
  • Experience using spray guns and paint mixing equipment is an advantage.
  • Understanding of drying and curing processes.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and quality standards.
  • Relevant painting or coating qualifications are an advantage.
