Offensive Security & Advanced Testing Engineer

Spencer Rose are seeking an experienced Offensive Security & Advanced Testing Engineer to support a Tier-1 banking client in identifying vulnerabilities, validating security controls, and strengthening cyber resilience across complex enterprise environments. 6-12+month contract to start ASAP.

Start: ASAP
Location: London, Bristol, Manchester or Leeds - Hybrid (2 days a week onsite)
Rate: £420-430pd Inside IR35
Duration: 6-12months + (strong potential for extension)

Ideal candidates will have strong hands-on offensive security experience, knowledge of modern attack techniques, and the ability to operate within highly regulated financial services environments.

Key areas of expertise include:

• Red Team Operations - adversary simulation and attack-path exploitation.
• Offensive Security Testing - penetration testing across infrastructure, networks and enterprise platforms.
• Threat Emulation - replicating real-world threat actors and TTPs.
• AI Security Testing - assessing LLMs, AI applications and models for security vulnerabilities.
• Purple Teaming - collaborating with defensive teams to validate detection and response capabilities.
• Application Security & Code Review (SAC) - identifying application-level vulnerabilities through secure code reviews and security assessments.
