Senior Data Engineer

Client: Capital One

Location: Remote (prefer EST but not picky)

Rate: $90/hr. on w-2

Interview process: 2 video interviews to hire

Contract: 6-12 months

• Hybrid role requiring an equal balance of software engineering and data engineering expertise
• Project: Team is building a new application designed to support agentic AI initiatives, identify system risks, and enable adoption of emerging AI-driven capabilities.
• Experience: 10+ years
• Strong blend of application development and data engineering expertise.
• Proven GraphQL/API development experience (required).
• Extensive AWS experience, including: Lambda, ECS, Glue
• Strong data engineering background with:
  • PySpark
  • Apache Spark
  • Snowflake
  • AWS Glue
• Batch processing frameworks
• Experience with DynamoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Expertise in cloud monitoring, observability, and production support
