Responsibilities:

• Developing safe working environment
• Quality Control of processes and products
• Planning and execution of Developmental work
• Planning and execution of Cost reduction of products
• Handling inspection of finished goods
• Control on incoming raw materials and timely evaluation
• Calibration of Lab equipment
• Reduction in quality complaints of products
• Customization of products
• Customer / supplier visit
• Adherence to ISO, QMS, Calderys systems
• Coordination with Marketing / R & D / Project application / Supply Chain
• Training to subordinates.
• Handling of third party / customer for inspection of material
• Maintaining test records
• Maintaining 5S standard in the workplace

Profile/Competencies:

Education, background, level of experience:

• Diploma / Engineering in Ceramic Engineering (Regular Course) with minimum 5 years of experience
• Working proficiency in English
• Experience on MS Office and Email Handling

Skills Required:

• Knowledge in Ceramics and Refractories
• Knowledge in various refractory testing and characterization techniques
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Knowledge in mineralogy, crystallography and phase diagrams
• Knowledge in refractory property – performance correlation
• Hands-on experience in various testing and characterization methods pertaining to refractories.
  

Education, background, level of experience

      B.Tech

Min 3 years of Experience in a Ceramic / Refractory industry. Experience in the Refractory Monolithics / brick industry will be preferred. The incumbent should have:

1. Knowledge in Ceramics and Refractories
2. Knowledge in various refractory testing and characterization techniques
3. Analytical and problem solving skills
4. Excellent written and oral communication
5. Knowledge in mineralogy, crystallography and phase diagrams
6. Knowledge in refractory property – performance correlation
7. Hands-on experience in various testing and characterization methods pertaining to refractories.
