Senior Network Engineer | Lorton, VA, United States | Hybrid

The Role
- Serve as Technical Lead for a team of network engineers responsible for the design, implementation, and support of enterprise network infrastructure within Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
- Oversee Network Operations Center (NOC) functions, ensuring high availability, robust security, and rapid incident response for critical customer networks.
- Develop and document detailed network designs and architectures that adhere to strict DoD standards.
- Manage the installation and configuration of network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical network solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of high performance and ethical behavior.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience.
- Expert knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs).
- Strong understanding of enterprise network design principles and technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with network monitoring, management tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- A US Citizen with an active Top Secret clearance, able to obtain SCI prior to start.
- Familiarity with cloud networking architectures, particularly with Azure Cloud.
