Role Overview
The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring project success from a field level, acting as the primary liaison between field operations and the Project Manager. This role involves a blend of office-based management and on-site supervision, focusing on safety, quality, schedule adherence, and budget oversight. The position requires providing leadership to Construction Supervisors and coordinating work performed by contractors to meet project goals.
Key Responsibilities
Education: An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field is required. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.
Technical Skills: A strong understanding of engineering principles related to power plant commissioning is required. Proficiency with Word is also necessary.
Work Requirements
Driving will be required as part of the position duties. The supplier must hold validation of a non-restricted current driver's license and demonstrate no alcohol/drug-related driving offenses within the previous five years, and the license must not be currently suspended or restricted.
Per Diem and Mob/De-Mob expenses will be available for this requisition.

- Coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors and vendors at the project site.
- Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance.
- Manage walk-downs of planned work, validate the acceptance of completed work against design requirements, and approve contractor payment requests.
- Provide leadership and coaching to Construction Supervisors and supplemental workforces.
- Act as a bridge between field operations and customer leadership, ensuring alignment between construction crews and project stakeholders.
- Address logistical challenges, resolve conflicts, and ensure construction activities remain on schedule.
- Conduct surveys and observations of contractor Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) practices, providing coaching and corrective action as needed.
- Oversee system testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure accurate data collection and reporting for progress tracking and potential dispute resolution.
- Manage and utilize additional resources, including environmental teams, material managers, safety teams, and subject matter experts.
