Job Title: Lead Oracle Fusion SCM Consultant (Manufacturing, Inventory, Costing & Planning)

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Location: San Jose, CA (remote plus occasional travel)

Required skills: 10+ years of Oracle Supply Chain experience, with at least 3–5 years leading Oracle Fusion SCM Cloud implementations Hands-on mastery of Oracle SCM Cloud: Inventory, Manufacturing, Costing, and Supply Chain Planning. Any Pharma, Lifesciences or Med devices Supply Chain experience is required. Strong Communication skills

 

Job Description Summary

We are looking for a high-caliber Lead Oracle Fusion SCM Consultant to drive full-lifecycle Cloud implementations across supply chain, manufacturing, and planning functions. In this lead role, you will act as the principal functional architect, guiding client operations executives through solution design, process optimization, and system integration. You will oversee end-to-end execution across Oracle Cloud Inventory, Manufacturing, Costing, and Supply Chain Planning, ensuring seamless alignment between shop floor operations and financial controls.

 

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end Oracle Cloud SCM implementations, leading requirements discovery, fit-gap analysis, and solution architecture design.
  • Serve as the trusted supply chain advisor to plant managers, inventory control teams, cost accountants, and VP-level supply chain leaders.
  • Drive process standardization across global supply chains, material management, production planning, and cost accounting operations.

 

Module Configuration & Functional Design

  • Design and configure core Oracle SCM Cloud modules: Inventory Management, Manufacturing, Cost Management, and Supply Chain Planning (Demand/Supply Management).
  • Define inventory structures, subinventories, locators, lot/serial control, item master catalog design, and inter-organization transfers.
  • Architect Discrete/Process Manufacturing flows, work definitions, work orders, resources, and plant capacity setup.
  • Configure Cost Management for standard, actual, and average costing, subledger accounting (SLA) flows, cost distribution, and variance analysis.
  • Establish Supply Chain Planning engines, forecasting models, safety stock strategies, and order promising (ATP).

 

Testing, Integration & Cutover

  • Build functional requirements for RICEFW components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms, and Workflows).
  • Oversee CRP (Conference Room Pilots), UAT (User Acceptance Testing), inventory/work-in-process data migration, and cutover strategy.
  • Partner with integration teams to connect Oracle SCM Cloud with shop-floor execution systems (MES), PLM, and 3PL/WMS providers.

  • ERP Experience: 10+ years of Oracle Supply Chain experience, with at least 3–5 years leading Oracle Fusion SCM Cloud implementations.
  • Core Modules: Hands-on mastery of Oracle SCM Cloud: Inventory, Manufacturing, Costing, and Supply Chain Planning.
  • Operational Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Discrete/Process Manufacturing, inventory valuation, cost accounting principles, and MRP/Demand Planning dynamics.
  • Delivery Skills: Proven track record of leading functional tracks on multi-module, global Oracle Cloud deployment.
