Senior Quality Engineer

£60,000 - £65,000

25 Days + Banks, 37.5 Hours, Mon-Fri, Wellbeing Support, Enhanced Pension

A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quality Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business in Bridgwater. You'll play a key role in managing customer quality issues, driving continuous improvement, and supporting quality excellence across the operation.



Role & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead quality contact for customer, supplier, and internal quality issues.
  • Lead investigations into complaints, deviations, and non-conformances, driving effective CAPA activities.
  • Support customer audits, site visits, and quality performance reviews.
  • Maintain and improve quality processes including CAPA, PFMEA, control plans, and risk management.
  • Analyse quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and reduce repeat issues.
  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Production to improve process performance and product quality.
  • Coach and support Quality Engineers to strengthen quality standards and best practices.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a Senior Quality Engineer or similar manufacturing quality role.
  • Strong background in customer quality, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of CAPA, PFMEA, root cause analysis, and risk management tools.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, or similar standards.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
