Job description

Title: Workday Business Analyst III

Location: St. Louis, MO Hybrid

Duration: Contract with Higher Possibility of extension or Conversion to Fulltime

Description:

Team and role

·The team supports the Workday application across all of HR, covering the full coworker lifecycle (onboarding employees and contingent workers through termination).

· Would be both a stakeholder-facing and technical contact. They’d meet with assigned HR groups based on their module expertise, handle day-to-day support, and help deliver 2027 projects, including capital projects.

Day-to-day and working arrangement

·Core hours are roughly 7:30 to 3, with flexible scheduling.

·The team is in the office four days a week, though days can be swapped for appointments or other needs.

·Team makeup: 3 in-house, 2 remote. 3 days in office: Tuesdays and Thursdays are typically remote for the core team.

Current timing

·The team is building its 2027 roadmap with HR and finishing remaining 2026 work.

·The last change window is December 17, leaving about 4 to 5 weeks of delivery work.

· After that, the focus is year-end prep: new Workday requirements, training, and readiness for January.

·A new hire would use this period to meet their business analyst, learn the stakeholders’ pain points, and build a plan for each group.

Must-have skills

1.Hands-on Workday experience. The team needs someone who can hit the ground running, not someone learning the platform.

2. Core HR knowledge. The hiring manager’s view is that if you know Core HR, you can pick up the other modules.

3.Workday Security and/or Payroll experience. Payroll is a gap, since no one on the team currently covers it.

Ideal to have

· Workday certifications or Workday Pro credentials (a significant plus).

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, used for presenting to business partners.

Interview process

·Preferably one round, with a second only if the choice comes down to two or three strong candidates.

· The first round will be via Teams. A potential second round would be in person.

· Agile Delivery: Acts as the BA point of contact (POC) on agile scrum teams delivering Workday solutions; liaises with scrum masters and coaches to move projects forward and supports medium-complexity projects with little or no supervision, including tracking issues and managing action items.
