Location: North Shields

Salary: Up To £56,000 basic + overtime & Bonus Shifts: Panama (Days & Nights)

Hours: 42 hours per week

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and globally recognised manufacturing business within the FMCG sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to their site in North Shields.

Key Responsibilities Carry out mechanical fault finding, repair, and overhaul

Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

Electrical fault finding using drawings to diagnose hard-wired faults

PLC fault finding (Siemens TIA Portal desirable)

Installation and commissioning of electro-mechanical equipment

Use of machine shop equipment including lathe and milling machines

Welding (MIG and stick) where requiredRequirements Time-served Maintenance Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

Multi-skilled with both electrical and mechanical experience

Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment

PLC fault finding experience (any platform considered)

HNC in Engineering desirable
