The Role

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive specialized yard trucks (hostlers) to position containers and chassis efficiently.
• Utilize equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for stacking, moving, and organizing containers.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate container movements and daily tasks.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to all established protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a background verification, physical, and drug screening.
