Technical Business Analyst

FinXL IT is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading financial services client on a key transformation engagement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed technical analysis to determine business or system requirements and define test scenarios.
• Review and validate solution specifications against business requirements, assisting product owners with story value definition.
• Act as an interface between business and technology teams, translating complex cloud and on premise solutions into easy to understand functions.
• Provide first level data analysis and support for data related queries from both business and technology teams.
• Plan and execute system testing to determine change acceptance or support root cause detection of platform problems.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and planned release implementations with relevant project stakeholders.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies to minimise delivery delays and undesirable impacts.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within wealth management/ financial advice, superannuation, and investment services.
• Demonstrated track record working inside large scale enterprise transformation projects.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools including Jira, Confluence, Miro, and process mapping software like Visio.
• Strong organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple outcomes in parallel.
• Advanced interpersonal skills to build relationships, influence outcomes, and collaborate across technical and non technical teams.
• Background working with legislative or compliance change, data profiling, or AI tools is highly desirable.
