We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Services Technician to join our Engineering team at our Oakthorpe Dairy.

The Site Services team plays a vital role in keeping the dairy operating safely, efficiently and reliably, 24 hours a day. Behind every litre of milk processed is a network of critical plant utilities that support production, and this team is responsible for ensuring those services remain available whenever they're needed.

You'll be responsible for maintaining, monitoring and optimising key site infrastructure including industrial steam boilers, refrigeration systems, compressed air equipment, water treatment facilities, HVAC systems, cooling towers and heat exchangers. From ensuring our boilers are generating steam efficiently to maintaining refrigeration systems that keep products at the correct temperature, the Site Services team is at the heart of the operation.

How would you make an impact?

• Maintain site services equipment in line with the Planned Preventative Maintenance programme and provide reactive support when required across:

• Industrial steam boilers
• Waste heat boilers
• Refrigeration plant
• DAF plant
• Hot and cold water systems
• Heat exchangers
• Cooling towers
• HVAC systems

Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and energy performance.Conduct equipment condition assessments and work alongside OEM engineers during servicing and maintenance activities.Ensure compliance with relevant QEHS requirements, including Legionella control, fire safety, PSSR and LOTO procedures.Issue and authorise permits to work and ensure all activities are completed safely and in a controlled manner.Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability, site efficiency and operational performance.

What will make you successful?

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 NVQ or recognised Engineering qualification and have experience in both planned preventative and reactive maintenance within a manufacturing, utilities or site services environment.

You will have experience working with critical utilities or facilities equipment and possess a proactive approach to fault finding, problem solving and continuous improvement. Previous experience within a Hard FM, utilities, process manufacturing or site services role would be highly advantageous.

Knowledge of refrigeration, steam systems, water treatment or HVAC equipment would be beneficial, and experience working with HV/LV systems would be highly desirable.

Most importantly, you'll be a collaborative team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping critical plant systems running safely and efficiently.
