Field Support Engineer at Apex Systems

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Provide Level II support for IT and OT systems, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • User Training: Conduct training sessions on IT and OT applications and tools.
  • System Administration: Manage user accounts, access control, security configurations, and software updates.
  • Collaboration: Work with stakeholders and vendors to identify and implement IT/OT solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT and OT assets, configurations, and procedures.
  • Incident Management: Log and track incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Assist in setting up and maintaining IT and OT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and OT devices.
  • Security: Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security measures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Propose and support enhancements to IT/OT processes and system performance.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors for support and maintenance services.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company policies and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or 2+ years of IT support experience.
  • Experience: Preferably in OT support within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IT and OT systems, hardware, software, and networking.
  • Problem-Solving: Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for training and educating end-users.
  • System Administration: Experience with user management, software updates, and edge device administration.
  • Network Knowledge: Understanding of network infrastructure and cybersecurity principles.
  • Integration Skills: Familiarity with IT/OT integration and data exchange protocols.
  • Hardware Knowledge: Knowledge of computer hardware, including legacy systems, is a plus.
  • Microsoft 365 Proficiency: Skilled in Outlook, OneDrive, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Travel: Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel up to 25%.
