Network Monitoring Analyst with Security Clearance

Job #: 3053609 Apex Systems is currently hiring a Network Monitoring Analyst with a large federal client. As a Network Monitoring Analyst, you will support critical network operations by performing system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities in a 24x7 mission-focused environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of enterprise network systems supporting national defense operations. Project Details / Mission Supported:

• Perform daily monitoring, operations, and maintenance of network systems in a 24x7 operations and test environment.
• Provide first-level technical support and perform initial troubleshooting of network hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Document and report all network events, incidents, and operational issues while supporting ongoing operations and test activities.
• Assist with network hardware and software installations under the guidance of technical subject matter experts.
• Create and maintain user accounts in accordance with security and access management requirements.
• Monitor network performance and system health utilizing enterprise monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Support virtualization environments including VMware vCenter and vSphere.
• Collaborate with operations, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to maintain mission-critical network availability.
• Participate in rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on mission requirements. Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
• 1+ years of network operations, systems administration, help desk, NOC, or related technical experience.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, network monitoring, and network management concepts.
• Experience utilizing monitoring, diagnostic, and analytics tools for network infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies, including vCenter and vSphere.
• Experience with remote administration tools such as SSH, RDP, FTP, and SCP.
• Working knowledge of Cisco IOS, JUNOS commands, OSPF, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) IAT Level II certification or higher required (Security+ CE, CySA+, SSCP, CISSP, CASP+, GSEC, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using enterprise network management and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with encryption devices and secure communications technologies.
• Basic Linux/Unix server administration experience.
• Experience coordinating with external agencies or network operations organizations.

Onsite expectation: 100% Onsite (24x7 Operations Environment)
Clearance Level: Ability to Obtain and Maintain Secret Clearance
