Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Machining & Process Development

Position Overview
This role is a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) group, supporting production processes and driving process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced, high-tolerance manufacturing environment. The position reports to the Engineering Manager and works cross-functionally with quality, operations, and design teams to validate new processes and process improvements, offering strong exposure to fuel systems production and hands-on process development.
Typical Day/Week in the Role
Task Breakdown & Work Environment
- Split between office and shop floor, roughly 30% office and 70% shop floor
- Supports PCN (process change notice) activity, testing and validating process improvements
- Works with operators to maintain processes, and prepares reports and process review documents
- Supports daily operations within the manufacturing process
- Partners with quality, operations, and design teams to validate new processes and process improvements
- Serves as a key member of the team supporting production processes, reporting to the Engineering Manager
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field preferred and 8-10 years of relevant experience
Top Skills
- Professional verbal and written communication, along with strong analytical skills
- Ability to create sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and technical reports
Additional Technical Skills (Required)
- Experience in a manufacturing and machining environment
- CNC programming and process development experience
Additional Technical Skills (Desired)
- Experience with hone, OD/ID grinding, and centerless grinding
- Experience developing and maintaining automated cells
