• Contract for approximately 9 months, commencing January 2027

The Role

The ABC is looking for a Label Manager. Sitting within ABC Commercial, you'll continually set and achieve gross revenue, gross profit and net profit targets for triple j and contemporary releases, including back catalogue. You'll have the opportunity to work across triple j's commercial music releases including the Like A Version catalogue, alongside the alternative/contemporary roster including Playlunch, Emily Wurramara, Lottie McLeod, Flynn Gurry and other miscellaneous artists and projects.

In this role, you will:

• Manage the licensing and contracting of their artist releases and projects
• Handle A&R for existing artist roster & manage relationships with pre-existing potential new signings
• Manage the production, project management, marketing and brand management of each release
• Manage release budgets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with our artists, managers, distributor and other partners
• Create and manage content with the explicit intention of digital exploitation

You're a music industry professional who can combine commercial thinking with strong marketing and relationship skills and a true passion for music.

You'll have:

• Current, thorough knowledge of the Australian and international music industry
• Advanced experience in physical and digital music marketing, including putting strategy into action
• Demonstrated experience in A&R
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, forecasting and monitoring P&L
• Highly advanced partner relationship management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication
• Proven experience collaborating with First Nations artists and communities, underpinned by cultural awareness, respect and an understanding of appropriate protocols.
• Demonstrated experience working with alternative music, children's music and back catalogue (desirable)
