Cloud Migration Consultant (Azure)

Our client is a well established enterprise organization with more than 20 years in business and over 5,000 employees. They have built a reputation for stability and steady growth, and their technology team plays a central role in keeping a large and complex operation running. Today they are making a major investment in their infrastructure by moving their VMware data center environment into Azure. This is a multi phase initiative and they are looking for a seasoned consultant to lead it.

3x per week onsite is a hard requirement, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday.

The Opportunity:

This is the kind of engagement career consultants look for. It is a defined, high impact migration at enterprise scale with a clear runway beyond the cutover. You will help plan and execute the move from VMware into Azure and then stay on to support and optimize the Azure and AWS environments.

What You'll Do:

• Plan and execute an enterprise VMware to Azure migration across multiple phases
• Manage and stabilize the VMware environment throughout the transition
• Administer Azure compute, storage, and related services
• Provide ongoing operational support across Azure and AWS
• Support Windows Server and Active Directory
• Improve monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and automation

Must Haves:

• Deep VMware experience in enterprise virtualized environments
• Proven on premises to Azure migration experience
• Strong hands on Azure infrastructure experience
• Experience supporting AWS infrastructure
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory skills
• Sharp troubleshooting and operations instincts

Nice to Haves:

• Azure Migrate or Site Recovery experience
• Terraform or PowerShell automation
• Entra ID, EC2, S3, and IAM
• Backup and disaster recovery platforms
• AZ 104, AZ 305, or VCP DCV certification
