# of Openings:  2 Auria is looking to hire a Software Engineer ll to support our MELCO Program. This role can be remote, or hybrid in Colorado Springs, CO or Bethesda, MD. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO: * Create software and performance requirements from subsystem product requirements * Design and develop new software or enhancements in line with software requirements * Integrate and test software components as part of the program's delivery cycle * Debug software and correct defects identified during integration, test, and review * Learn satellite communications and constellation concepts relevant to the program WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES: * Mission-Driven Professional: Collaborative contributor motivated by the opportunity to develop cutting-edge solutions that protect and serve both the nation and the world.  *  Create software and performance requirements from subsystem product requirements * Design and develop new software or enhancements in line with software requirements * Integrate and test software components as part of the program's delivery cycle * Debug software and correct defects identified during integration, test, and review * Learn satellite communications and constellation concepts relevant to the program WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:  * Experience with Linux/Unix, C/C++, React, TypeScript, MATLAB, or Python * Experience developing mission-critical or high-availability real-time software * Exposure to object-oriented development, optimization/operations research, visualization, or modeling and simulation  PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $94,000-118,000 APPLICATION DEADLINE:  October 5, 2026.
