Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Leeds.

• Oversee electrical engineering activities from design review through to installation, testing and commissioning.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with design teams, project managers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide technical support to site teams and resolve engineering issues.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with project specifications, regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor installation quality and ensure inspections are completed in line with project requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems.
• Assist with technical queries, design changes and value engineering proposals.
• Attend technical meetings and provide progress updates to the project team.

• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong background in data centres or complex commercial/industrial developments.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical building services, power distribution and associated systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Strong technical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant electrical engineering or building services qualifications.
