Fire Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Engineer to join a growing and ambitious consultancy, working on a diverse range of exciting commercial and residential projects.

The Role As a Fire Engineer, you will be involved in developing and delivering Fire Strategies across a varied portfolio of projects, ranging from residential developments to complex commercial premises. Your responsibilities will include:

Developing fire strategies for a range of commercial and residential buildings.<br />Providing fire engineering advice throughout the design and construction process.<br />Working closely with architects, designers, contractors and other engineering disciplines.<br />Reviewing designs and providing practical, technically sound fire safety solutions.<br />Producing technical reports, fire strategies and supporting documentation.<br />Attending project meetings and liaising with clients and key stakeholders.<br />Supporting the delivery of projects from initial concept through to completion.<br />Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, guidance and industry best practice.

About You We are looking for an experienced Fire Engineer with proven experience within a consultancy or similar technical environment. You will ideally have:

Previous professional experience as a Fire Engineer — essential.<br />Experience developing fire strategies for commercial and/or residential buildings.<br />Strong knowledge of relevant fire safety legislation, regulations and guidance.<br />Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.<br />The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider team.<br />A proactive approach and genuine ambition to develop your career.<br />Relevant engineering or fire safety qualifications.<br />Chartered status or progression towards Chartered Engineer/Chartered Membership would be advantageous, although full support will be provided for the right candidate looking to achieve chartership.
