Job Description

Our client is a national, reputable organisation headquartered in Newcastle. To provide additional capacity to the People team, they are looking to appoint an experienced People Partner on a 3 month fixed term contract. This role will offer immediate hands-on support across a broad range of HR activity during a period of heightened operational demand.

Reporting into the Head of People, key accountabilities include:

  • Delivering day-to-day HR support across operational and strategic activity within a commercial environment.
  • Building strong relationships with leaders to ensure a consistent, high-quality HR service.
  • Supporting the HR Leadership team with change activity, including TUPE processes where required.
  • Reviewing and updating People Policies and Procedures in line with legislative changes.
  • Providing best-practice HR advice and guidance to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Contributing to change management and transformation initiatives.
  • Leading and supporting a variety of short-term HR projects.
  • Managing a range of Employee Relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence and organisational change.
  • Advising senior managers on HR initiatives including Performance Management, Talent Development and Training.
  • Coaching and mentoring a small team of People Advisors to ensure consistent delivery.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be immediately or imminently available and able to commit to a 3-month fixed term contract.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and a confident, pragmatic partnering style.
  • Engage, influence and support senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Lead on key HR projects and communications within tight timeframes.
  • Deliver operational change management and organisational development activity as required.

This role will suit an experienced HR professional with a natural Business Partnering style, ideally with previous experience operating at HR Business Partner or HR Manager level within professional, fast-paced environments.

The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be based in the North East and able to commute to the Newcastle Head Office on a weekly basis.
