Location: St. Petersburg, Florida (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Install Technician for project-based work in and around the Tampa Bay area. This role involves executing retrofits, upgrades, and modernization of fire alarm systems in existing buildings. The selected candidate will be capable of working in a lead capacity, potentially overseeing a helper, and will be expected to be self-sufficient and manage installations from start to finish, excluding programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installations of fire alarm systems, including retrofits and upgrades.
• Read and interpret project drawings and blueprints.
• Manage projects independently and ensure work is completed efficiently.
• Conduct troubleshooting on systems as needed.
• Address and configure system devices.
• Work in a lead capacity, potentially guiding another technician.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• A minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on fire alarm installation experience.
• Proven experience in a lead technician capacity, with the ability to run jobs independently.
• Demonstrated experience with retrofit and upgrade projects in existing buildings.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to use standard tools, including a meter and tone tracer.
• Candidates are expected to have their own basic hand tools and a tool belt.

Preferred Qualifications

• NICET Certification.
• Experience with fire alarm system programming.
