The Finance controller for this site is a key business partner to the Management team and is responsible for:
Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions as well as hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements, and activities of internal and external auditors
Managing the budget process along with developing and monitoring business performance metrics
Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of 10+ years' prior relevant experience OR a Master's Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 7+ years' prior relevant experience
S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Prefer master's degree in business administration (MBA) or a professional designation such as the chartered professional accountant (CPA).
Strong knowledge of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
Must be capable of managing projects and show leadership skills. Strong knowledge of Excel
SAP knowledge would be considered an asset
