Job Description

Are you a passionate Hardware Design Engineer with a knack for lab work and a thirst for knowledge? Our team, at the forefront of designing and developing highly integrated System-on-Chip optical engines for Telecom, Data Center, and Networking applications, is seeking a skilled individual to contribute to the development of cutting-edge hardware test boards and platforms. If you enjoy characterizing and testing very high-speed electro-optical devices and thrive in a dynamic R&D and manufacturing environment, we encourage you to apply. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of optical networking.

  • Design and develop hardware test boards for characterizing and testing high-speed electro-optical devices.
  • Develop test platforms for both R&D and manufacturing purposes.
  • Conduct laboratory testing and characterization of electro-optical devices.
  • Contribute to the design and development of System-on-Chip optical engines for telecom, data center, and networking applications.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and expand existing skill sets.

You have :

  • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering or a related field, 3 years of related experience
  • PCB design skills including schematic capture and PCB layout of densely-routed boards
  • Low-frequency analog design, simulation, and debugging, including bias and control-loop circuitry.
  • Experience building and debugging complicated test systems
  • Ability to independently interface with vendors and other third parties
  • Firmware development skills for microcontrollers, including hardware bring-up and debugging.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Graduate degree in electrical engineering, or related field, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with some or all of the following: PSU design, high-layer-count stack-ups, HDI, or fine-pitch fanout
  • Lab experience working with optical components and instruments, using software to automate measurements and analyze data.
  • Theoretical understanding of coherent optical communication systems or prior experience with optical modules.
