Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform Architect to design, architect, and lead cloud transformation initiatives on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud architecture, migration strategies, modernization, security, networking, automation, and infrastructure scalability. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and customer leadership to create secure, resilient, and cost-optimized cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Strategy

• Design end-to-end cloud solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform services aligned with business objectives.
• Define cloud adoption, migration, modernization, and multi-cloud strategies.
• Develop architecture blueprints, reference architectures, and implementation roadmaps.
• Lead cloud transformation workshops and technical discussions with stakeholders.

Solution Design & Implementation

• Architect solutions using Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine, and serverless technologies.
• Design is highly available, scalable, and resilient infrastructure architectures.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Establish cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

Migration & Modernization

• Lead application and infrastructure migration projects from on-premises or other cloud providers to Google Cloud Platform.
• Assess workloads and recommend rehost, replatform, refactor, or rebuild strategies.
• Drive modernization initiatives involving containers, Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.

Security & Compliance

• Design secure cloud environments using IAM, VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, KMS, and Security Command Center.
• Implement identity and access management, encryption, monitoring, and compliance controls.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR.

Operations & Optimization

• Implement monitoring, observability, and logging using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Operations Suite.
• Optimize cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Establish FinOps practices and cloud cost governance mechanisms.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide technical leadership to cloud engineers and DevOps teams.
• Mentor teams on Google Cloud Platform best practices and cloud-native technologies.
• Collaborate with customer executives, architects, and project managers to ensure successful delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of architecture and implementation experience on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and governance.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
