Job location: Newcastle, NSW, AU, 2302

Job reference number: 111741

Employment type: Permanent Full-Time

Salary range: $141678.0-$158677.0

You're looking to embed yourself in projects of different sizes and become part of a team that's shaping the landscape across NSW.

You're ready to play an essential role behind the scenes by providing vital support, ensuring seamless project execution, and playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation.

In this role, you'll:

Joining a team shaping the future of regional transport by delivering transport planning, road safety and traffic analysis that drives network improvements and supports informed investment decisions.

You'll play a key role in the Strategic Regional Integrated Transport Planning (SRITP) program, helping to develop integrated, evidence-based transport solutions that enhance connectivity and support regional communities.

This role will see you provide accurate data and analysis, coordinate reporting and project inputs, contribute to business case development, support planning and feasibility assessments, and act as a conduit between regional teams and modelling specialists to ensure insights are clearly communicated and applied.

You'll translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable advice in a fast paced environment managing competing data requests, navigating technical and non-technical audiences, and building strong relationships across multiple modelling, analytical, and stakeholder groups.

This is a permanent full time role based at Newcastle or Grafton with hybrid ways of working.

Your experience in transport, traffic or road safety analysis; strong ability to interpret complex data; well-developed communication skills; and proven stakeholder engagement capability formed across technical, analytical and multi-disciplinary stakeholder environments will see you excel in translating modelling insights, managing competing priorities, and bringing clear, evidence based analysis to support high quality planning and investment outcomes.

You're recognised as a clear and effective analyst, skilled at providing practical recommendations, preparing high quality reports and advice, experienced in analytical tools, stakeholder management, and delivering insights that inform strategic decision making across diverse audiences.
