The Opportunity

A leading global investment management firm is looking for an experienced Disclosures Business Analyst to support the enhancement of its global regulatory disclosure framework.

The role sits at the intersection of Compliance, Legal, Operations, Data and Technology, with responsibility for analysing existing disclosure processes and delivering improvements across systems, data, workflows and controls.

Candidates should have direct, hands-on experience with either EU Short Selling Regulation (EU SSR) disclosures or US 13F reporting. Experience across wider major shareholding, position or ownership disclosures would also be highly relevant.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and improve EU SSR, US 13F and wider regulatory disclosure processes.
• Interpret regulatory rules and translate them into clear business requirements and technical specifications.
• Analyse positions, reportability thresholds, aggregation rules, calculations and filing requirements.
• Map end-to-end data flows, from trading and position data through to disclosure calculations and regulatory submissions.
• Produce business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, data mappings, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Identify weaknesses across existing disclosure processes, systems and controls.
• Investigate reporting errors, data issues and control gaps, perform root-cause analysis and drive remediation.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology and Data teams to deliver enhancements.
• Support system and regulatory change initiatives from initial requirements through UAT, implementation and production release.
• Develop robust UAT test cases, test scripts and scenarios covering disclosure requirements.
• Improve the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of regulatory disclosures.
• Support broader global disclosure requirements including major shareholding, beneficial ownership and position reporting.

What We're Looking For

• Strong Business Analyst experience within regulatory disclosures, position reporting, regulatory reporting or regulatory change.
• Direct experience with EU Short Selling Regulation / EU SSR / net short position disclosures OR US 13F reporting.
• Strong understanding of positions, thresholds, reportability calculations, aggregation logic and filing processes.
• Experience translating complex regulatory requirements into business and technical requirements.
• Strong experience producing BRDs, functional requirements, process maps, data mappings, user stories and UAT documentation.
• Experience identifying control gaps, reporting errors and data-quality issues and driving remediation.
• Strong testing, UAT and implementation experience.
• Experience working across Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology and Data teams.
• Broader exposure to major shareholding, ownership or position disclosure regimes is advantageous.
• Exposure to SQL, data analysis, reporting platforms or automated regulatory systems would be beneficial.
