Field Service Engineer

My client is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join their growing service team. Based from their Cheshire facility, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, servicing, repairs, and installations of electromechanical engineered machinery at customer sites throughout the UK.

Their ideal candidate will have hands on field service electrical / mechanical knowledge with a relevant qualification to support. Further details on the machinery and equipment will be discussed upon application of CV.

Field Service Engineer role:<br />The successful Field Service Engineer will report to the Service Manager and be responsible for:<br />Carrying out maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and repairs on my client’s equipment nationwide.<br />Delivering high standards of customer service and technical support.<br />Working closely with fellow Service Engineers and the wider service team.<br />Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures.<br />Maintaining accurate service records and reports.<br />A comprehensive onboarding programme will be provided.<br />Within the first three months of employment, successful candidates will attend an initial training course at their German HQ, lasting approximately one to two weeks.<br />Ongoing product training will be provided in-house, with opportunities to gain additional industry qualifications and certifications, including CSCS and PTS.<br />Primarily based from the Cheshire site, with travel throughout the UK will be required.<br />Occasional overnight stays may be necessary to support customer requirements.

These will always be discussed in advance with the service team, and all associated expenses will be fully covered by the company.

Field Service Engineer requirement:<br />Proven Field Service work experience with electrical /mechanical equipment and machinery.<br />Educated with a relevant electrical qualification BTEC or NVQ Level 2/3 or apprenticeship<br />18th edition<br />Full UK driving license Field Service Engineer package:<br />Salary base circa £30k - £40k(DOE)<br />Overtime paid at 1⅓ times the standard hourly rate.<br />Pension<br />Company van provided, fully equipped with all necessary racking and equipment.<br />Fuel, meals, and business-related expenses covered via a company credit card.<br />All tools, workwear, and PPE supplied by the company.<br />22 days annual leave, increasing to 25 days with service.<br />Working Hours<br />Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00, with a one-hour lunch break.<br />Flexible working hours available where operationally appropriate.<br />Training &amp; Development
