We're looking for an Associate Field Technician/Driver to join a 2-person field team collecting RF data by driving predetermined grid squares across Nevada. The role supports Field Technicians working with telecom equipment in the public safety sector, primarily law enforcement applications, both in regional offices and in the field.
The team consists of a Driver and a Navigator. Shifts run up to 12 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Job Summary
We're looking for an Associate Field Technician/Driver to join a 2-person field team collecting RF data by driving predetermined grid squares across Nevada. The role supports Field Technicians working with telecom equipment in the public safety sector, primarily law enforcement applications, both in regional offices and in the field.
The team consists of a Driver and a Navigator. Shifts run up to 12 hours a day, 5 days a week.
- The Driver is responsible for daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, operating the vehicle safely, complying with all company rules and procedures, and assisting the Navigator with installing and removing RF components used for testing.
- The Navigator is responsible for planning the daily driving route, starting up and shutting down RF testing components, monitoring testing suites (GPS, Gazelle, BER, Tracker), managing low-voltage DC power to testing equipment, and uploading end-of-day data to the engineering team.
Required Skills
Experience with radio/telecom equipment and/or network equipment is desired, such as:
- Networking experience with routers and switches
- Ethernet/T1/Fiber experience
- Basic electronics knowledge (voltage, amps, ohms)
- Basic electrical experience
- RF radio experience (systems, portable, or mobile servicing)
- Amateur (Ham) Radio experience
- Military background in radio or SATCOM
Desired Skills
- Telecom equipment experience with P25 background for E911 systems
- Familiarity with P25 radio systems is a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe driving and working environment
- Follow all company policies, procedures, dress code, and management direction, including fleet and safety policies
- Report defects, mechanical problems, or missing items to a supervisor
- Promote and practice safety awareness
- Monitor multiple data screens (RSSI, BER, GPS)
- Conduct instrument checks
- Program portable and mobile radios
- Install and remove RF components
- Monitor low-voltage DC systems
- Other duties as assigned
