The Role
- Lead the accounting and financial operations for a local hospital, including billing, accounts receivable, cash receipts, collections, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Develop and execute financial forecasts, budgets, and internal controls, while overseeing audits and ensuring financial compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly and annual financial reviews, budgets, and required state financial reports.
- Drive operational efficiency by developing and implementing strategic financial plans in collaboration with hospital leadership and corporate office.
- Participate in hospital Governing Body committees and partnership boards as needed.
- Monitor compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, including Medicare.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in hospital accounting, with a strong understanding of financial management and analysis principles.
- Proven expertise in financial operations, including labor management, revenue analysis, expense management, and contract negotiation.
- Experience in budgeting, encompassing both capital planning and operational budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement robust internal control environments.
- Strong managerial skills and the ability to lead accounting teams effectively.
