Job Description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Up to £42,000
Shift Pattern: Double Days (earlies/backs)

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically skilled engineer looking to join a stable operation with a strong focus on reliability, continuous improvement and preventative maintenance.

Working on a double days shift pattern, you will be responsible for keeping production equipment running efficiently, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, and minimising downtime across the site.



The Role

  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
  • Diagnose and fault-find electrical and control system issues.
  • Repair and maintain production machinery and associated equipment.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
  • Work with motors, drives, sensors, control panels and electrical systems.
  • Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Electrically qualified or time-served, ideally with an NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / equivalent.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with PLCs, drives, motors and industrial control systems would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
