Job Description

Role: Infrastructure Planning Analyst
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Rate: $55/hour W2
Schedule: Hybrid (2-4 days onsite)
Overview
Seeking an Infrastructure Planning Analyst with strong analytical and data skills to support infrastructure capacity planning and forecasting across enterprise cloud and data center environments. This role will focus on analyzing infrastructure demand, utilization trends, forecasting future growth, building capacity models, and automating reporting and alerting processes.
The ideal candidate combines infrastructure knowledge with strong Excel, SQL, Python, and data visualization skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze infrastructure demand and utilization trends across cloud and data center environments.
  • Build and maintain capacity forecasts for compute, storage, network, and virtualization platforms.
  • Develop automated reporting, dashboards, alerts, and data models.
  • Create forecasting tools used for infrastructure planning and procurement decisions.
  • Partner with infrastructure teams to understand future growth requirements.
  • Identify utilization risks and provide recommendations for capacity expansion.
  • Support budgeting, infrastructure planning, and long-range forecasting initiatives.
  • Present capacity data and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Required Skills
  • Capacity planning and forecasting experience
  • Strong Excel skills including complex modeling
  • SQL for data analysis and reporting
  • Python for automation and analytics
  • Experience with data visualization tools
  • Experience analyzing utilization, growth, performance, or infrastructure metrics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills
  • Cloud infrastructure experience
  • VMware, virtualization, or private cloud environments
  • Splunk, Grafana, Tableau, or Power BI
