Here at ISS, as a leading Facilities Management (FM) provider, we are looking to recruit an Environmental Compliance Manager to join our flagship Banking contract



We have a long standing and very successful client relationship, and this role is a brand new position, released in order to support the client further within Environmental Management across their large UK Estate, consisting of a sizeable Retail branch network and a corporate estate


The role will connect with environmental operations and sustainability leads across the Global ISS team to enable sharing of innovation and best practice, to drive improvements across our customers and ISS own performance.


Actions will include:

  • Management and development of the ISO 14001 programme for the region, including system management, management review and coordination of internal and external audit activity.
  • Oversight and ownership of the UK environmental compliance programme including assessment, monitoring of changes in requirements, planning of control actions, management of corrective actions and production of periodic compliance evaluation reporting.
  • Identification and assessment of site level and organisational environmental aspects and impacts, including probability and impact evaluation, identification of control measures, stakeholder engagement and production of environmental management plans.
  • Development of site environmental incident response plans, training and testing processes, post incident review and root cause analysis.
  • Management of the pollution risk assessment programme including identification of in scope locations, management of delivery schedule and auditor delivery, and ongoing oversight of corrective actions to closure.
  • Have oversight of the environmental data process for the region including review of data submissions, data verification, validation and approval
  • Coordinate with ISS SME’s and key customer contacts to support the delivery of operational environmental compliance, testing and certification activities by third party providers.


We need from you:


  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Environmental Sustainability / Management / Science or a related subject.ISO 14001 internal (minimum) or lead auditor (preferred) auditor qualifications.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (eg IEMA / ISEP) is preferred
