Job description

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer with strong expertise in AWS Cloud, Microservices, Flask, REST APIs, and Kubernetes/EKS to develop scalable, secure applications for a banking/financial services client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the AWS ecosystem, Docker, CI/CD, API development, and cloud-native architectures, along with AI/ML or Generative AI integration using technologies such as SageMaker or Amazon Bedrock. Banking domain experience and knowledge of secure, highly available enterprise applications are highly preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Python development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Flask and REST API development.
  • Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services, especially EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, RDS, and CloudWatch.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, including deployments, services, ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and scaling.
  • Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML or Generative AI capabilities into Python applications; AWS SageMaker or Bedrock experience is a plus.
  • Strong experience with relational/NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or DynamoDB.
  • Experience with Kafka or event-driven architectures is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of API security, OAuth/JWT, IAM, encryption, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
  • Banking/Financial Services domain experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based microservices for banking applications.
  • Build secure and scalable REST APIs using Flask.
  • Deploy and manage applications on AWS EKS/Kubernetes.
  • Develop containerized applications using Docker and support CI/CD deployments.
  • Integrate AWS services and build cloud-native solutions.
  • Integrate AI/ML and GenAI capabilities into enterprise applications and APIs.
  • Implement API authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and security.
  • Troubleshoot application, API, Kubernetes, and AWS production issues.
  • Work with Kafka/message queues for asynchronous and event-driven processing.
  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps, QA, data/ML engineers, and banking business teams.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Ensure applications meet banking security, reliability, scalability, and compliance requirements.
