Senior Solution Engineer - Federal Public Sector

• Partner with Sales Executives to navigate and win complex sales cycles
• Identify, foster, and develop technical and executive champions within Federal Public Sector accounts
• Translate complex customer requirements, challenges, and mission outcomes into scalable Snowflake data solutions
• Demonstrate and communicate Snowflake technology through whiteboarding, demos, and enterprise Proofs of Concept
• Present Snowflake's technology, roadmap, and vision to senior government executives and technical teams
• Maintain knowledge of the evolving data and AI landscape and position Snowflake against competitive technologies
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to share customer feedback and refine product offerings

Requirements

• Active Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 or higher preferred), or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
• Based in Canberra with high in-person office presence and direct customer interaction
• 10+ years of overall technical industry experience
• Minimum 5 years in a pre-sales / solution engineering role
• Ability to translate complex business and mission problems into scalable data architectures and actionable solutions
• Outstanding presentation and storytelling skills for technical audiences and executive leadership
• Broad experience with enterprise-scale database and data warehouse technologies, ETL, analytics, and cloud platforms
• Hands-On expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python
• Ability to perform deep discovery of customer architectural frameworks and map them to Snowflake's Data Architecture
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Domain expertise and networks within Federal Public Sector domains such as Defence and National Security, Law Enforcement, or Federal Health
• Experience working alongside Global Systems Integrators such as EY, Deloitte, or Accenture
