Job Description

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks a Postal Affairs Manager to lead postal strategy and operations for integrated public affairs and advocacy campaigns. In this role, you will manage end to end mail production and distribution, oversee USPS compliance, optimize postage and delivery timelines, and advise client teams on best practices for high volume political and issue-advocacy mailings. You will liaise with printers, mail houses, and postal officials, troubleshoot delivery issues, monitor performance analytics, and continually refine postal tactics to support complex, fast moving communications programs in a collaborative, high performance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead postal strategy for high-volume advocacy and public affairs mail campaigns
  • Manage end-to-end mail production schedules and distribution logistics
  • Ensure full USPS compliance, documentation, and regulatory adherence
  • Optimize postage costs, formats, and delivery timelines for campaign goals
  • Coordinate with printers, mail houses, and postal officials
  • Monitor delivery performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
  • Provide postal guidance to internal account and creative teams
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of postal regulations and rate changes
  • Analyze campaign mail performance and provide reporting and insights
  • Contribute to process improvements and best practices for postal operations
