Senior Cloud Software Engineer [$308k/yr+] TS/SCI-FS Poly with Security Clearance

Summary: • Deliver cloud-based geolocation and messaging solutions across scalable, high-availability architectures. • Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. • Build reusable Infrastructure as Code modules, Helm charts, and integrate messaging middleware such as ActiveMQ or Kafka. • Support engineering efforts utilizing Java and React while monitoring systems via Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch.

Qualifications && Compensation: • Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • Years of experience: 20+ years • Total Compensation: $308k+ yearly (tentative) Job Description: • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and modernize application workloads in AWS. • Build reusable Infrastructure as Code modules and Helm charts using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK. • Develop and support software components utilizing Java and React in containerized environments including Docker and Kubernetes. • Implement message broker systems and event streaming platforms using ActiveMQ and Kafka. • Configure and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting pipelines using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and ELK/OpenSearch. • Establish disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability strategies across distributed Linux environments. • Implement cloud cost optimization practices, IAM governance, secrets management, and root cause analysis troubleshooting. • Document technical architectures, standard operating procedures, and runbooks to support ongoing operations.
