Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Citrix Engineer with at least 6 years of enterprise-level experience designing, building, upgrading, migrating, and supporting large-scale Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS), Machine Creation Services (MCS), Windows image engineering, profile management, Active Directory, Group Policy, and VMware vSphere.

The candidate should be experienced in migrating workloads between Citrix sites, maintaining high availability, troubleshooting complex virtual desktop environments, and supporting hybrid Citrix Cloud deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, administer, upgrade, and support on-premises Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments.
• Implement and maintain Citrix high-availability architectures and enterprise-scale virtualization solutions.
• Support Citrix DaaS / Citrix Cloud fundamentals, hybrid deployments, and identity integration.
• Plan and execute user and workload migrations between Citrix CVAD sites using pilot testing, migration waves, validation, and rollback procedures.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) for Remote Desktop Session Host (RDSH) environments and Machine Creation Services (MCS) for persistent virtual desktops.
• Engineer, maintain, and promote Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 golden images.
• Perform reverse imaging for VMware Tools upgrades, operating system upgrades, and other image maintenance activities.
• Configure and troubleshoot Citrix StoreFront stores, authentication, beacons, and Citrix Workspace app.
• Administer Citrix Profile Management (UPM) and FSLogix containers, resolving profile, file share permission, and user logon issues.
• Configure and optimize Group Policy Objects (GPOs), including loopback processing, filtering, performance tuning, and security hardening.
• Manage Active Directory organizational units, delegation, least-privilege access, and multi-domain or multi-forest trust dependencies.
• Support VMware vSphere and vCenter, including templates, cloning, provisioning, and performance troubleshooting.
• Support Entra ID (Azure AD) single sign-on and enterprise identity integration with Citrix environments.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, document configurations, and implement operational improvements.

Required Technical Skills

• 6+ years of enterprise Citrix engineering and administration experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD).
• Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
• Citrix image engineering, reverse imaging, and golden image lifecycle management.
• Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
• Citrix StoreFront, Workspace app, authentication, and profile management.
• Citrix Profile Management (UPM) and FSLogix.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Kerberos, and enterprise identity management.
• VMware vSphere and vCenter administration.
• Citrix site migration planning, execution, validation, and rollback.

Preferred Skills

• Citrix DaaS / Citrix Cloud and hybrid Citrix deployments.
• Entra ID (Azure AD) SSO and enterprise identity integration.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
• Windows image optimization, security hardening, and performance tuning.
• Experience with multi-domain, multi-forest Active Directory environments.
