Job Description

Our client is a Group is a leading, multi-strategy investment manager with over $40 billion of assets under management and a considerable track record.

We are seeking to identify a Real Estate Associate for the Asset Management team in London. Due to the collaborative culture, broad investment mandate, and flat hierarchy, the position offers significant potential for personal growth and advancement. This is a hands-on role with direct exposure to the senior AM team and full investment lifecycle from day one.

The role will focus on deal-level accounting, tax structuring, tax compliance and structure maintenance across a complex pan-European portfolio.

The Associate will support the team to:

  1. Manage external advisers/administrators in their delivery of statutory deliverables.
  2. Tax and audit compliance coordination across pan European jurisdictions
  3. Support tax structuring process on current transactions, financings and new structures and lead on related implementation
  4. Work closely with the acquisitions team on the integration and onboarding of new transactions
  5. With the support of external advisors, work closely with the asset management team on ensuring good structure maintenance and corporate governance.

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Pan-European experience — ideally across multiple jurisdictions (Luxembourg, Netherlands, UK, Germany, France, Iberia)
  2. Familiarity with European real estate tax concepts — corporation tax, withholding tax, VAT, transfer taxes, holding structure efficiency
  3. Regulatory compliance and corporate governance exposure desirable
  4. Ability to grasp new concepts quickly with ability to apply existing knowledge in drawing sound and well-reasoned conclusions to new principles
  5. Strong collaboration skills. Build and manage effective working relationships across teams (both internally and externally) to complete tasks efficiently and drive shared goals forward.
  6. Experience in process and project management
  7. Background in real estate private equity, fund administration, accounting/audit/tax practice or specialist real estate tax/structuring advisory preferred
  8. ACA, ACCA, CTA or similar qualification
