Application Performance Monitoring (APM)

We are seeking an experienced Application Performance Monitoring (APM) Engineer with strong expertise in Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, and enterprise monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring application and infrastructure performance, developing dashboards, configuring alerts, troubleshooting production issues, and improving system reliability and observability across enterprise environments.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and Splunk.

• Strong understanding of observability engineering and enterprise monitoring solutions.

• Experience with application, server, network, and infrastructure monitoring.

• Knowledge of metrics collection, performance analytics, and monitoring automation.

• Experience in dashboard development, alert management, and threshold configuration.

• Strong troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills.

• Experience with incident management and production support.

• Familiarity with JIRA, BitBucket, and Confluence.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and maintain APM and enterprise monitoring solutions using Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and Splunk.

• Monitor application performance, server health, network availability, and infrastructure metrics.

• Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reports.

• Configure alert thresholds and notification mechanisms to identify performance degradation and potential outages.

• Collect and analyze application and infrastructure metrics to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.

• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis to prevent recurring issues.

• Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, DevOps, and operations teams to resolve performance-related issues.

• Automate monitoring and alerting activities to improve operational efficiency.

• Support incident management, problem management, and production operations.

• Analyze performance trends and recommend improvements to application stability and infrastructure utilization.

• Maintain monitoring documentation, operational procedures, and reporting dashboards.

• Use JIRA for incident tracking and Agile project activities, BitBucket for version control, and Confluence for documentation.

• Generate performance reports and provide actionable insights to technical teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications and infrastructure.

• Understanding of distributed systems, cloud environments, and microservices monitoring.

• Experience working in 24x7 production support environments.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
