Metallurgical Technician

Salary: $76k - $79,500k

Permanent Full Time; 40 hours week.

Role based in Welshpool, WA & Client Site.

Responsibilities

• Undertake sample management tasks (labelling, receipting, inventory preparation, storage).
• Conduct cyclosizing & laser sizing analyses.
• Conduct routine gold recovery testwork inclusive of cyanide leach tests.
• Ensure process control equipment such as density gauges, particle size indicators, Autosamplers are calibrated and are operational.
• Collaborate and assist plant operators with the maintenance of process equipment.
• Collaborate and assist Laboratory technicians to ensure data integrity.
• Assist project metallurgists with survey sampling, collector trials, and laboratory scaled test works.
• Interpret data and report to metallurgists for accuracy and rapid response to process plant anomalies.
• Provide daily equipment performance updates.
• Generate comprehensive daily and weekly reports.
• Report daily reagent dose rates.
• Enter data and handle concentrates.
• Gold room duties as required.
• Comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct at all times.

Qualifications

• Current "C" class Western Australian driver's license.
• Forklift certification.
• First aid training.
• 1 - 2 years' experience in the minerals processing, production, or laboratory testing industries.
• Knowledge and experience with various commodities and unit operations.
• Experience with some metallurgical laboratory operations and/or testing operations.
• Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety.
