Location: Bristol / South West
Salary: £40,000 per annum +OT
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:
We are recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join an established business providing power and generator solutions across a range of industries.
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel generators, working on both customer-owned equipment and rental fleet. The role involves regular customer interaction, site visits and working closely with the wider service team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned servicing and maintenance of diesel generators.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs on customer and rental equipment.
  • Attend customer sites to resolve breakdowns and technical issues.
  • Carry out site surveys when required.
  • Participate in an on-call rota.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety.
  • Complete work in line with relevant company procedures and quality standards.
  • Keep company vehicles, tools and work areas clean and well maintained.

About You:
  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting or Plant Maintenance, or a relevant apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience servicing and repairing generator sets, ideally FG Wilson, Cummins or similar.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Previous field service experience would be advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • ECS, CSCS or CCNSG card would be advantageous but is not essential.

Overtime:
Overtime is available, with enhanced rates including time and a half and double time, depending on the hours and days worked.
